PACE Test Moderation Cover and Report Forms
Please complete and include these forms with the original PACE tests you mail in for moderation
Please ensure all completed PACE Tests have your child's FIRST and LAST name, the actual date the test was completed and the result - all CLEARLY labelled.
Failure to submit a PACE Test with these details recorded clearly may result in the child being required to resit the PACE test.
Instructions
- Complete the forms
- Ensure you group the completed PACE tests into subject areas, in order of PACE numbers (same order on the form please)
- Post original PACE tests, with the completed forms at the front, to the applicable address given below
Fill in all details as per your individual details noting the following:
- School/Provider Name: Accelerate Christian Home Schooling
- Student Name: First and surname ONLY please
- Student ID: Write the Student ID number, which was included in your child's Graduate Certificate Pathway Registration confirmation email (begins with GAU)
- Subject areas: List each course's PACE number separately with your child's test score; leave any subject areas that are not applicable blank. If you have more than 8 entries in a subject area, you may continue to list the PACEs in another subject area, ensuring that you list the name of the course to prevent confusion.
Postage Details
Please mail your moderation to the appropriate moderator, in your country or ask our team who to forward to. If you are outside one of these regions, we usually ask that you mail moderation to the Fiji Moderator. Each of the following countries have an in-country address to send PACE tests to for moderation.
INTEGRITY OF CERTIFICATES
To maintain the integrity of the AEM Certificates, PACE Tests must be moderated by an independent moderator. 'Independent' means the person responsible is not directly associated with the student. For example, our Home Schooling Support Services team members may be involved in moderating student tests from other groups, but cannot moderate tests from students of Accelerate Christian Home Schooling families.
MODERATION PROCESS
The moderators select a test and score it, according to strict guidelines, comparing their scoring with the scoring of the parent or supervisor. If there is a significant discrepancy, the parent or supervisor is notified. Moderators will request action to be taken, such as training or upskilling. In certain circumstances, this may require changing the student's test score.
PARENT TRAINING
For this reason, it is important that parents and supervisors take test scoring seriously and note the A.C.E. Procedures laid out in Parent Training. It is best practice to ensure you follow and become proficient with A.C.E. scoring procedures early on, at the primary level, to ensure questions are properly answered and marked.
For more information, see relevant topics in Hints and Tips or get in touch with our team.
Please note: The AEM Certificates team will not send tests back to families, but will file them in a secure location for future reference once they have been moderated.
